The Malaysian rubber market is expected to trade higher next week due to stronger demand and potential supply constraints, according to the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA).

MARGMA noted that demand for premium and sustainably sourced natural rubber is likely to strengthen as glove manufacturers prioritize traceability and sustainability under the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements.

Meanwhile, industry expert Denis Low expects the market to trend slightly higher next week due to potential restocking demand from China and firmer crude oil prices. However, he also cautioned that geopolitical uncertainties and currency volatility may continue to influence market sentiment.
