Markets Rebound After Fed Rate Hike, Tech Stocks Lead Gains
Markets opened higher on Thursday after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points, a move that was widely anticipated.
The Fed's decision, combined with easing bond yields and falling oil prices, lifted investor sentiment and provided enough momentum to push equities into positive territory at the open.
The 10-year Treasury yield fell by 5 basis points on Thursday, hovering near 4.96%, while Brent crude futures dropped to $102 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate traded near $100.
Technology stocks led the broader market higher, with NVIDIA surging more than 2% in early trading, followed by Amazon and Microsoft.
