Markets Rebound as Oil Prices Dip and Bond Yields Cool
Global markets staged a rebound on Tuesday as easing crude oil prices and cooling bond yields boosted investor confidence. The Federal Reserve's upcoming interest rate decision has been a major focus, with traders overwhelmingly expecting a quarter-percentage point hike. According to the CME FedWatch tool, the likelihood of this outcome stands at 92.5%, down slightly from 93.5% the previous day.
Wall Street Futures are trading in positive territory, while major European benchmarks have also edged above the flatline. The six-currency Dollar Index has increased, and crude oil prices have decreased by over 1% following a jump in U.S. inventories. Sovereign bond yields have eased across regions and tenors.
Gold has rallied more than 1%, but cryptocurrencies are trading on a negative note, with Bitcoin down 1.33%. The major stock indexes are showing modest gains, with the DJIA up 0.19% and the S&P 500 up 0.21%.
