MCX gold and silver futures rose on Monday as global prices tracked a weak US dollar. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), October gold contracts moved up by 0.18%, trading near ₹1.43 lakh per 10 grams mark.

The price of gold has reached ₹1.43 lakh, while silver touched ₹2.18 lakh per kg on the MCX. This domestic price movement closely follows developments in global bullion markets, where international gold prices on Comex have stayed above $4,100 per ounce and silver prices have seen a rise of over 1%.

The depreciation of the US dollar is driving this trend as it makes precious metals more affordable for investors holding other currencies. The market remains sensitive to geopolitical developments, which continue to support gold and silver as traditional safe-haven assets.
