MCX Gold Falls Amid Rise in US Dollar
Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined by 0.11% to Rs. 1,63,044 per 10 grams on August 25 amid a rise in the US dollar and bond yields.
The decline comes ahead of US inflation data and the Jackson Hole Symposium this week, which are likely to impact investor sentiment.
US gold prices also fell by 0.2% to USD 4,640.39 per ounce as investors shifted their focus to upcoming economic indicators.
The CME FedWatch Tool indicates that markets are currently pricing in a 58.1% probability of the Federal Reserve keeping rates unchanged and a 41.9% chance of a rate hike in September.
