MCX Gold Prices Rise as US Labor Data Fuels Interest Rate Cut Hopes
Gold and silver prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on August 10, 2026, as weak US labor data boosted hopes for potential interest rate cuts. The US labor market report for July showed a decline in jobs, which investors see as a sign that the US economy may be slowing.
This trend has made gold more attractive to investors, who prefer it over interest-bearing assets like bonds when interest rates are expected to decrease.
The MCX market has been resilient despite some volatility due to profit-taking by traders. The prices of gold and silver futures on the exchange were ₹1,51,900 per 10 grams and ₹2,31,800 per kilogram, respectively.
