MCX Gold Rises Amid Stronger Dollar
Gold prices on MCX rose slightly on September 25 after experiencing pressure in recent sessions. The increase was driven by a stronger US dollar and higher Treasury yields, which weighed on precious metals. October gold futures increased 0.14% to Rs. 1,50,914 per 10 grams.
The Brent crude futures fell 0.90% to USD 105.6 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) declined by 1.62% to USD 93.08 per barrel.
Domestic gold prices also saw an increase, with 24K gold rising Rs. 16 to Rs. 1,52,840 per 10 grams and 22K advancing by Rs. 80 to Rs. 1,40,100.
US gold prices edged up on Friday but are on a path to a weekly loss due to the stronger dollar and growing expectations that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates elevated.
