Mahanagar Gas (MGL) has increased its prices for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) due to rising input costs. The price of CNG will now be ₹88 per kg in the Mumbai region, up from ₹86 per kg previously.

The price hike is attributed to a significant increase in input gas prices linked to international indices following the ongoing Middle East tensions.

MGL supplies CNG to 13 lakh vehicles in Maharashtra and Karnataka, while its domestic PNG network serves around 30 lakh consumers.
