Middle East Allies Condemn Drone Attack on Egyptian LNG Vessels

Qatar and Palestine condemned a drone attack on liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels at Egypt's Damietta port, calling it a violation of international law. The attack set fire to two LNG vessels, causing damage and disruption to global energy supplies.

In a statement, Qatar's foreign ministry 'categorically rejected' attacks on critical infrastructure, calling for de-escalation to prevent further instability in the region. It reaffirmed Qatar's solidarity with Egypt and its support for measures taken by Cairo to protect the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed full solidarity with Egypt's leadership, government, and people, stating that any attack on the country's sovereignty or security undermines regional peace and stability.
