Middle East Oil Exports at Risk as Iran Blocks Its Own Shipments

Iran's parliamentary speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf warned that no Middle East country would be able to export crude oil if Iran's exports are blocked, according to state media.

Ghalibaf made this statement during a public video conference, addressing the US and other countries over the Strait of Hormuz.

He cautioned that if Iran's security is not ensured, 'no infrastructure will be safe,' implying that any disruption in Iran's oil exports would have far-reaching consequences for regional economies.
