Middle East Oil Exports Rebound to Highest Level Since February
Crude oil exports from key Middle East producers have rebounded in September to 12.8mn bpd, the highest level since the start of the US/Iran war in February.
The data, provided by Kpler and cited in a Reuters report, shows that Saudi Arabia's exports are now at their highest level since February, reaching around 5.4mn bpd in September.
Saudi Arabia had rerouted some of its oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz after closing its East-West pipeline due to attacks from the Houthis, but has now restarted exports through the pipeline, which runs from the Abqaiq oilfield in Eastern province to Yanbu on the Red Sea and has a capacity of 7mn bpd.
Aramco's CEO Amin H Nasser stressed the company's resilience and agility in responding to market conditions during its second quarter results announcement in August, noting that operations affected by disruptions can be restored within days.
