Middle East Powers Unite Against Aggression Amid Escalating Tensions

The Middle East has witnessed significant developments in recent days, including a mutual defense agreement between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. The deal was signed during a meeting in Saudi Arabia between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Under the agreement, an armed attack on any of the three countries will be considered as an attack against all three.

The move comes at a time when Saudi Arabia has been looking to diversify its defense partnerships, particularly after critical infrastructure and oil facilities have come under attack in the ongoing war in Iran. The US has also expressed willingness to lift its blockade of Iranian ports if an acceptable deal is reached to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Iran-backed Houthi rebels have stepped up attacks on Saudi-linked targets, including a recent strike on a refugee camp and residential areas in eastern Yemen, killing at least two people and injuring 14 others. The rebels also launched attacks on Marib province, targeting a Saudi-backed military camp using drones and missiles.

Separately, an Israeli strike wounded a Lebanese soldier while he was opening roads in the southern village of Mansouri, which had been subjected to Israeli shelling earlier this week.
