NYMEX Precious Metal Prices Dip Amid August Decline
According to NYMEX data from August 6th, precious metals prices are declining. The price of gold futures fell by 0.59% to $4242.00 per troy ounce (31.1 grams). Silver futures dropped by 1.06% to $61.44 per troy ounce, while platinum futures decreased by 0.91% to $1749.90.
The NYMEX (New York Merchantile Exchange) is a US futures market founded in 1882. It has two divisions: the NYMEX Division for oil, gas, and metals trades, and the COMEX Division for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
