A combination of military tensions, drone attacks, missile threats, and increasing uncertainty across key shipping routes has raised concerns about the safety of vessels transporting crude oil through one of the world's most strategically important energy corridors.
The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway connecting the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, remains at the center of these concerns. Roughly one-fifth of global oil consumption passes through the strait, making it one of the most critical maritime chokepoints in the world.
