Middle East Tensions Rise as Saudi Arabia Warns of Aerial Threat and Iran Executes Spy

Saudi Arabia issued a series of emergency alerts overnight due to a perceived 'hostile aerial threat', including one in its capital, Riyadh. The alerts came after Saudi authorities reported intercepting Houthi missiles and drones.

Meanwhile, Iran executed a man named Hossein Pedram for allegedly spying for Israel's Mossad intelligence agency. Pedram was reportedly arrested after missile bases in Iran's Isfahan province were targeted in last year's 12-day air war by the U.S. and Israel.

The U.S. military has supported the transit of 1 billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz over the past two months, according to CENTCOM head Adm. Brad Cooper. He claimed that Iran has 'exported zero barrels' due to a U.S. blockade.
