Middle East Tensions Send Oil Prices Soaring
Oil prices have surged as concerns over Middle East supply risks continue to elevate crude markets. The UK Oil (UKOUSD) is trading around $107.51, having recovered from an intraday low near $107.25.
Geopolitical tensions in the region remain a key driver of oil prices, with reports suggesting the US is considering deploying additional military assets to the area. This has increased the geopolitical risk premium in crude markets and pushed prices higher.
Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline and resumed tanker loadings from Yanbu have helped restore some regional export capacity, limiting further upside. However, China's reported suspension of fuel exports beyond Hong Kong and Macau in October could tighten refined product markets.
