MidOcean Secures $4 Billion in Equity Commitments for LNG Growth
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) company MidOcean Energy has concluded its 2026 equity capital raise, securing over $4 billion in commitments from new and existing investors. The amount exceeds the company's initial target of $2 billion, demonstrating confidence in MidOcean's strategy and long-term growth outlook.
The raise includes commitments from strategic investors such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan's Private Department, Idemitsu Kosan, NYK Line through Diamond Gas MidOcean, The Arab Energy Fund, Shizuoka Gas, and certain Korean institutional investors. These new investors join existing ones in supporting MidOcean's growth strategy.
The proceeds from the raise will enhance MidOcean's balance sheet flexibility and position the company to pursue LNG growth opportunities across its global portfolio. This includes both cash-flowing and development assets in Canada, Australia, the U.S., and Latin America.
