Millions of Boomers Face Homelessness Amid S&P 500 Crash Warning
Robert Kiyosaki has warned that millions of baby boomers could be left homeless due to a potential S&P 500 crash. According to Kiyosaki, central banks are dumping US bonds to buy gold by the tons, which will lead to a stock market crash and leave many retirees with little time to recover.
The Rich Dad Poor Dad author pointed out that baby boomers have taken on more responsibility for building their own retirement savings through 401(k)s after employers moved away from pensions. A major market loss could be especially difficult for them to make up, as they may not have enough time to keep contributing or wait for a rebound.
Kiyosaki has recommended investing in assets that could offer protection against the turmoil he foresees. He owns gold, silver, and Bitcoin, which he believes are safe-haven assets. Gold and silver have delivered significant gains over the past five years, with gold up 135% and silver up over 170%. Kiyosaki has also mentioned owning rental apartments, which provide a stream of income that can supplement withdrawals from a 401(k) or IRA.
