Minerals 260 Shares Plummet Below Recent Equity Raise Price
The gold developer Minerals 260 Ltd saw its shares fall by 10.64% on Monday, closing at A$0.84, which is below the price of A$0.88 paid by investors in a recent equity raise.
This decline comes despite the overall positive tone of the gold sector that day, with gold futures up 0.55% and Northern Star Resources rising after rejecting a takeover approach from Gold Fields.
The company's shares have been volatile this year, dropping as low as A$0.63 in July before rebounding to above A$1.00 due to its strong resource endowment and project development progress.
Luke McFadyen, Managing Director of Minerals 260, stated that the additional capital would strengthen the company's position, noting that 'this additional funding materially strengthens our balance sheet and our path to final investment decision in early 2027.'
