Mirziyoyev Targets Oil and Gas Market Stability in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has instructed authorities to ensure stability in the oil and gas market, preventing shortages and price increases. The president discussed measures to maintain a stable supply of gas and oil products during a meeting with officials.
The increasing demand from the population and economy requires preliminary consideration of seasonal needs, ensuring the domestic market has necessary resources. The work of Uzbekneftegaz was discussed regarding maintaining a stable level of natural gas production, effective use of existing fields, and timely commissioning of new wells.
In August, 27 new wells are planned to be launched, allowing for an increase in production by 887 thousand cubic meters of gas from the fields of Yangi Kultak, Niyoz, Koratau, Marvarid, and Tegirmon. The president instructed daily monitoring of the process, from drilling to connecting wells to the gas transportation system.
