MISC Orders New LNG Carrier for 10-Year Charter to Petronas
Malaysian LNG shipping firm MISC has made a significant move in its fleet expansion plans. The company has ordered an 18,700-cbm LNG carrier from China's Hudong-Zhonghua shipbuilding yard, backed by a 10-year charter deal with a unit of Petronas, its parent company.
The new vessel will be used to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) to various destinations. The order is part of MISC's efforts to increase its LNG shipping capacity and meet growing demand for the fuel.
