Mixed Grain Futures, Falling Livestock Prices on Chicago Exchanges
Grain futures on the Chicago Board of Trade were mixed Tuesday, with Sept. corn rising by 7.5 cents to $5.22 a bushel. In contrast, Sept. wheat fell by 6.25 cents to $7.66 a bushel.
Sept. oats and soybeans remained unchanged at $3.56 and $13.04 per bushel, respectively.
The livestock market on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange saw decreases across the board, with Oct. live cattle down 0.1 cent to $2.12 a pound and Sept. feeder cattle losing 0.82 cents to $3.21 a pound.
