Mizuho Boosts US Oil & Gas Stocks Amid Middle East Tensions
Mizuho has identified its top picks in the U.S. Oil & Gas sector amid Middle East tensions, which continue to reshape oil market expectations for 2026.
The firm forecasts 2026 Brent/WTI prices at $73.25/$68.25 per barrel, up from previous estimates, while maintaining its mid-cycle view at $75/$70 per barrel.
Mizuho's constructive outlook on U.S. Oil & Gas benefits EQT Corporation (EQT), the firm's top pick in the sector, which is positioned to capitalize on the tightening oil balance resulting from Middle East disruptions.
EQT reported second-quarter revenue of $1.81 billion, slightly exceeding forecasts, and S&P Global Ratings revised its outlook on the company to positive from stable, citing significant debt reduction.
