MNGL Boosts CNG Supply Capacity to 7 Lakh SCMD in Pune
Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) has completed upgrades to its Talegaon unit, increasing compressed natural gas (CNG) supply capacity to 7 lakh SCMD from 75,000 SCMD. The enhancement will help resolve low-pressure refilling issues faced by hundreds of autorickshaw and car drivers in Pune.
The pipeline looping work at the Talegaon unit has also been completed, ensuring a hassle-free gas supply from the unit to the city's gas distribution network. MNGL has been working on strengthening the CNG and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and surrounding areas.
CNG vehicle users in the city have faced challenges with inconsistent and erratic gas pressure at refilling stations, resulting in long queues for autorickshaw drivers like Ananda Shinde. With MNGL's latest efforts, there is hope for improved supply and reduced waiting times.
