MNGL Boosts Pune Gas Supply with Capacity Upgrade
Maharashtra Natural Gas Ltd (MNGL) has upgraded its Talegaon receiving terminal, increasing its gas handling capacity to 7 lakh standard cubic metres per day (SCMD).
This expansion is part of a larger effort to strengthen natural gas supply across Pune. The new system was commissioned on September 11 following work carried out by GAIL and MNGL.
The project aimed at improving the reliability and flexibility of Pune's city gas distribution network, which has seen an increase in demand for CNG and piped natural gas (PNG). One of the major works completed under the project was pipeline looping at Talegaon, completed in August.
