Moldovan Protesters Bring Candles to Condemn Gas Price Hikes

Dozens of protesters gathered in Moldova to express their discontent with recent gas price hikes. Organized by the Communist Party (PCRM), they brought candles and criticized Prime Minister Vasile Tofan's statement urging citizens to pray for a mild winter.

The government has announced that it will ensure energy security and provide compensation to citizens during the cold season. However, this promise has not alleviated concerns about the rising cost of natural gas and heating tariffs.

Leader of the PCRM Diana Caraman stated that the government is shifting the burden onto citizens' shoulders instead of proposing solutions to problems.
