Montenegro Links Oil Price Hike to Middle East Tensions
The Government of Montenegro has attributed the recent rise in oil prices to escalating tensions in the Middle East and disruptions to global supply chains.
In a statement, the government explained that these factors have led to higher crude oil and petroleum product prices on the international market.
To mitigate the impact on citizens and the economy, the government has decided to continue excise duty reductions on Eurodiesel during the tourist season. The price of Eurosuper 98 will be 1.81 euros as of July 28, while Eurosuper 95 will cost 1.77 euros. Eurodiesel will be priced at 1.79 euros.
The government's decision is aimed at easing the financial burden on residents and businesses during a crucial period for the country's economy.
