Moscow Oil Refinery Attack Paralyzes 14% of Russian Oil Refining Capacity
The Moscow Oil Refinery, which has a capacity of about 12.15 million metric tons of crude oil per year, was hit by an attack on September 20, shutting down part of its operations.
This increase the share of Russia's oil refining capacity that has been paralyzed to approximately 4%, according to Fire Point.
As a result of the attack, another 4% of Russia's refining capacity was left paralyzed, in addition to the 10% that had already been paralyzed due to previous attacks since early September.
