Moscow Oil Refinery Hit in Overnight Strike by Ukraine's Armed Forces
The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces has announced that its forces have struck a major oil refinery in Moscow, causing significant damage. According to their report, the Moscow Oil Refinery was hit on the night of September 19-20, resulting in a major fire at the facility.
The damaged equipment includes the AVT-6 crude oil distillation unit, a comprehensive oil processing unit, and an isomerisation unit. The refinery has an annual capacity of around 12 million tonnes of oil, with the General Staff noting that it supplies the Russian armed forces.
In addition to the strike on the oil refinery, Ukrainian forces also targeted a Russian Buk-M3 air defence system near Ukrainka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and a Nebo-U radar station near Balka in Donetsk Oblast. A Russian drone production site was also hit near occupied Siverskodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast.
