Mozambique Seeks to Unlock LNG Benefits for Local Businesses
The Bureau of Local Content (BCL) is urging Mozambique to capitalize on the upcoming resumption of major liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects by ensuring that local businesses and workers benefit from the opportunities they bring.
At a recent expert meeting in Maputo, BCL Monitoring and Development Coordinator Amahoro Lins emphasized the need for improved access to reliable data on local content, as well as stronger integration into supply chains and financing for Mozambican companies.
The BCL aims to see 10,000 local companies integrated into supply chains, with two million Mozambicans employed directly or indirectly through economic diversification supported by major investment projects.
