Industrial associations in Madhya Pradesh have requested the government to establish a uniform natural gas pricing policy, citing frequent changes in tariffs and delayed billing as major concerns.

The Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh met with senior officials from Avantika Gas Ltd in Indore to discuss the issues. They argued that manufacturers should not be penalized for delays attributable to the gas supplier.

Retrospective interest demands have been a major issue, with several industrial units receiving charges on bills dating back to 2024. The association has sought timely billing, review of security deposit requirements, and faster release of new industrial gas connections.

President of the Mandideep Industrial Area Association, Rajeev Agrawal, said uniform pricing would improve cost predictability, making industries more competitive and supporting fresh investments by removing regional disparities in input costs.
