MT Group has been awarded a construction contract by the Cobra IS/Sener consortium for the Balance of Plant (BoP) infrastructure at the German LNG Terminal. The terminal, located in Brunsbüttel and backed by KfW, Gasunie, and RWE, is one of Europe's most significant energy-security projects.

The onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal will include two full-containment LNG storage tanks, LNG unloading and marine infrastructure, regasification facilities, and gas export connections. It has an initial regasification capacity of approximately 353 bcf per year, with 317 bcf already contracted under long-term agreements.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2027 and will enable the conversion of substantial volumes of imported LNG back to gaseous form for delivery into Germany's transmission network. The terminal's remaining capacity will be reserved for shorter-term market offerings.
