MTO Prices Plummet 12.08% in India Amid Monsoon Disruptions

Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) prices in India plummeted by 12.08% during July, weighed down by weaker demand and softer crude oil benchmarks.

The monsoon season disrupted construction and exterior painting activities, reducing consumption from decorative and industrial coatings, while manufacturing conditions also took a hit.

Although fuel and automotive activity provided some support, it was insufficient to offset the weakness in major downstream sectors. On the supply side, healthy refinery throughput maintained comfortable MTO availability, but softer upstream crude oil costs reduced production pressure.
