Mumbai CNG Prices Rise Again
The cost of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Mumbai has increased by ₹1 per kilogram to ₹89 from Thursday, October 1. This is the fifth price hike for CNG in the city since January.
Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), the largest CNG supplier in Maharashtra, attributed the increase to rising costs of domestically produced gas and imported Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG).
CNG is mainly used by commercial vehicles such as taxis, auto rickshaws, and buses, as well as private vehicles in Mumbai. The price hike is expected to affect around 12.93 lakh vehicles across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
