Murphy Oil Surpasses Expectations in Q2 CY2026 with Revenue Growth of 33.2%
Murphy Oil (NYSE:MUR) posted better-than-expected sales in Q2 CY2026, exceeding Wall Street's estimates by 3.3% with revenue up 33.2% year on year to $926.3 million.
Its non-GAAP profit of $1.55 per share was 2.2% below analysts' consensus estimates.
The company's operating margin increased to 38.3%, up from 13.3% in the same quarter last year, and its free cash flow margin reached 70.9%, a significant improvement from 5.9% in the same period.
Murphy Oil's oil production per day fell by 3.5% year on year, but its natural gas production per day averaged 1.2% year-on-year growth.
