Naftogaz and ORLEN Bolster Energy Security Partnership
Naftogaz Group and Poland's ORLEN have strengthened their strategic partnership by signing two memoranda aimed at enhancing Ukraine's energy security. The agreements were made during the Carpathian Eight Summit.
The first memorandum provides for the supply of three LNG cargoes in the first quarter of 2027. This will help meet Ukraine's needs during peak seasonal consumption, with additional volumes available if required.
ORLEN is a key strategic partner for Naftogaz, and the cooperation is particularly important given ongoing Russian attacks on domestic production facilities.
The second memorandum was signed by Ukrnafta, part of Naftogaz Group. It provides for the supply of petroleum products worth up to $500 million to the Ukrainian market, further strengthening fuel supplies amid the global oil crisis caused by events in the Middle East.
