Nasr Petroleum Sees Significant Production Gains
Nasr Petroleum Company (NPC), one of Egypt's state-owned oil refining companies, has boosted its gasoline and diesel output in the fiscal year 2025/26. Chairman Rashad Nazim said that NPC processed around 1.5 million tons of crude oil during this period, a significant increase from the previous year.
The company also increased gasoline production to approximately 637,000 tons, up from just 51,000 tons in the previous fiscal year. Diesel production rose by 40.6% to around 329,000 tons compared to FY 2024/25.
Nazim noted that NPC achieved its targeted crude processing volume while enhancing operational efficiency and improving the balance of petroleum products. The company is implementing various development projects to enhance its capabilities, including the development of seawater desalination units and asphalt handling facilities.
