Natural Gas Futures Decline Amid Tightening Supply and Demand
The latest government inventory data for natural gas has reflected supply/demand tightening and exceeded market expectations. According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, October futures are down 3.6 cents at $2.786/MMBtu as of 11:50 a.m.
The storage report showed that gas in storage is further below its year-earlier level, indicating continued pressure on natural gas futures.
