Natural Gas Futures See First Weekly Gain Since June as Temperatures Forecasted to Rise

Natural Gas Intelligence reports that natural gas futures have shown some life after a stagnant August. The prompt month contract has seen its first weekly gain since June 18, a welcome change from the double-digit losses suffered by November-March contracts.

The market's improvement can be attributed to forecasts of 'hotter than normal' temperatures and a relatively well-supplied market. However, this growth is still being tempered by the lingering effects of injection season, which saw gas supplies increase.
