Natural Gas Futures Tightly Wound Ahead of US CPI Release
Natural Gas futures on MCX are trading around 301.4, just above the Zero Line at 301.60. The commodity has been experiencing a highly compressed rotational base following a steep multi-day corrective drop from its peak of 322.
The current structural environment is tightly wound due to the influence of domestic weather conditions and global energy desks' focus on upcoming US CPI inflation release and FOMC policy meeting. Price action is closely monitored as it compresses against its central inflection zone, with a high-volume candle close potentially validating institutional intent.
Bullish traders can activate long positions above 303.30, targeting 307.10 for the first upside objective and 310.50 for an extended expansion zone. However, a weak bullish structure would be indicated below 302.25, while sustained trade below 300.33 cancels aggressive longs.
Bearish traders can activate short positions below 301.20, with targets at 296.10 and 292.70. Immediate short covering is required above 304.17, while the bias remains structurally protected below the 306.70 resistance ceiling.
