Natural gas prices on MCX closed at Rs 293.00 per mmBtu on Wednesday, down 0.24 percent from the previous session.

The Nifty 50 fell 0.42 percent to 22,620.45, while India VIX ticked up 0.60 percent to 13.49.

According to Univest's research desk, led by Ankit Jaiswal and Kunal Singla, the natural gas prediction for tomorrow leans soft into Thursday's session, influenced by crude oil prices and global cues.

The key drivers for Thursday include movement in the US Dollar Index, which typically has an inverse relationship with metal and bullion prices on MCX.
