Natural Gas Prices Slide Amid Supply-Driven Market

Natural gas prices retreated on Monday as traders weighed robust near-term cooling demand against sturdy supply and Iran War fallout.

New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) natural gas futures fell by 10.0 cents to $2.788/MMBtu around noon, while Henry Hub spot prices averaged $2.739 early and Waha trades at $1.926.

The decline in prices comes despite the heatwave that has been affecting the US, which typically leads to increased demand for cooling gas.
