Natural Gas Prices Slide on Rising Production and Cooler Forecasts

Natural Gas prices in India settled down 2.4% to 272.9 on September 15 as rising production, comfortable storage levels, and cooler weather forecasts weighed on sentiment.

Rising production continued unabated, with the Lower 48 averaging 113.1 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in September, compared to August's record monthly average of 112.2 bcfd.

Average flows to the nine major US LNG export facilities were expected to decline to a three-week low of 17.5 bcfd due to maintenance at Cameron LNG in Louisiana.
