Nebraska E15 Sales Soar 45% as Farmer-Funded Infrastructure Pays Off

Nebraska drivers have been buying more gallons of E15 fuel in recent years. In 2025, sales surged by nearly 45% from the previous year, according to the Nebraska Department of Revenue's report on statewide ethanol blend rates.

This growth is largely attributed to investments made by corn farmers through the Ethanol Infrastructure Grant Program, which provides up to $50,000 per location for retailers to install equipment capable of dispensing E15 and other higher blends.

The Nebraska Corn Board has been funding this program, offering grants that help offset the cost of converting standard pumps into ones that can dispense higher ethanol blends. As a result, more retail locations have added blender pump capability, giving drivers more places to choose E15.
