Nebraska Ethanol Board Expands with New Industry Representatives
The Nebraska Ethanol Board (NEB) has expanded its membership with the addition of three new voting members from the state's ethanol industry. Effective immediately, Todd Good from Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Joe Shanle from Trenton Agri Products (TAP), and Brent Hoops from Chief Ethanol have joined the board as part of a strategic plan to promote the growth of the ethanol sector in Nebraska.
The appointments were made by Governor Jim Pillen, who also reappointed Jamie Bearup to the labor position for a four-year term and Scott McPheeters to the general farming position. McPheeters replaces Michael Thede, who retired from the NEB on August 31 after completing his term.
The expanded board now has nine voting members, representing different sectors of the fuel value chain. The new appointments bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, as they join existing members including Chairman Jan tenBensel (wheat), Vice Chairman Scott McPheeters (general farming), Secretary Randy Gard (petroleum marketers), Jamie Bearup (labor), Taylor Nelson (corn), Tracy Zink (sorghum), and University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chemical Engineering Professor Dr. Hunter Flodman, who serves as the board's technical advisor.
