Nellore Silver Prices Plummet to ₹2,40,000 by Mid-July

The price of silver in Nellore has been fluctuating throughout July 2026. The month began at ₹2,66,100 per kilogram on July 3rd but quickly rose to a high of ₹2,76,100 on the 4th. By the 15th, the rate had fallen to ₹2,23,900, only to rebound and settle at ₹2,40,000 by the 25th.

Looking back at previous months, January saw a significant rise in silver prices, reaching as high as ₹4,41,100 on the 30th. In contrast, April experienced a decline, with prices falling from ₹2,81,000 to ₹2,76,000 by the end of the month.

While silver prices have been volatile, purity remains a crucial factor in determining value. Fineness, or the percentage of pure silver in an alloy, is typically expressed as 999, 92.5% (sterling), 95.8% (Britannia), or 90% (coin).
