Nepal Gold Prices Soar on International Demand and Weaker Dollar
The price of gold in Nepal's domestic market has seen a significant increase over the past week. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold rose by Rs 2,000 per tola (11.6638 grams) to reach Rs 303,100 per tola at the close of the week.
The international gold prices also contributed to this rise, rebounding from a near six-week low with a two percent increase last week. The easing oil prices and a weaker US dollar helped support the price of the precious metal.
Silver prices also saw an increase of Rs 175 per tola over the week, reaching Rs 4,775 from Rs 4,600 per tola.
