Nepal Gold Prices Surge 25% on Tightening Supply and Geopolitical Shifts
The gold market in Nepal experienced a significant surge today, with hallmark gold prices increasing by Rs 2,500 per tola (11.66 grams) to reach Rs 307,400.
This is according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, which notes that trading for hallmark gold opened at this new price following a multi-day rally driven by international market fluctuations.
The price of silver also registered a notable gain, rising by Rs 45 to trade at Rs 4,770 per tola.
Market analysts attribute this sharp increase primarily to tightening supply, geopolitical shifts affecting global commodity exchanges, and persistent currency adjustments against major international currencies.
