The price of gold in Nepal's domestic market has surged by Rs 15,100 per tola over the past week, driven by a sharp rise in international bullion prices. According to Reuters, gold prices reached a three-month high last week due to the US Treasury's buyback support plan, which weighed on the US dollar and boosted demand for precious metals.

Data from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) shows that fine gold rose from Rs 301,600 per tola at the close of the previous week to Rs 316,700 per tola by Friday. The largest single-day gain was recorded on Thursday, when the price jumped by Rs 9,300 per tola.

Meanwhile, silver prices also increased significantly, rising by Rs 325 per tola over the week. Silver was traded at Rs 4,985 per tola on Friday, up from Rs 4,660 per tola a week earlier.
