Nestoil Revives Dormant Rig to Boost Oil Production at OML 42

Nestoil Group has revived an idle drilling rig to boost oil production at Oil Mining Lease (OML) 42, one of Nigeria's long-producing Niger Delta assets.

The Pathfinder 500, which had been inactive for approximately eight years, completed workover operations on two producing wells at OML 42, resulting in additional crude production from the wells.

Nestoil carried out the campaign through Scorpio Drilling International, its drilling services business, without any health, safety, or environmental incidents.

The return of the rig is significant as it allows Nestoil to extract operational value from an investment that had remained largely dormant and reduces its dependence on externally hired drilling equipment.
